SecureGPT
VISA SecureGPT is an AI employee tool that leverages GPT4 and a library of custom models to help employees across a range of daily tasks including general employee questions, developer code reviews, and content writing. Users can tailor their experience with controls for selecting different AI models, custom GPTs trained on VISA documentation, and smart suggestions for effective prompting techniques. The platform also features a robust chat history and thread management system for searching previous prompts and chaining off of those for future prompts.

Landscape Analysis
Study of the AI chatbot competitive space, offering a view into common themes across platforms and opportunity areas for VISA.
Defining Principles
Designers, developers, and product team members met routinely to draft Visa's first experience principles that would drive SecureGPT, as well as future generative AI projects. Outlined is our commitment to creating user-centric, transparent and (most importantly) ethical AI-systems that empower human-led innovation.
Iteration
As this project began before requirements were established, we explored a number of generative AI interface patterns ranging from node-canvas prompting to journaling.
User Testing Prototypes
At every step of the design process we were quick to get prototypes in front of users, testing usage-scenarios across creative, management, and developer teams. While engineers on our team were focused on specific features that would empower their workflow, we wanted to strike a balance that was not overwhelming to the majority of non-technical employees at VISA. Ideally we would create a platform that had a low barrier to entry while gradually introducing deep functionality for advanced users.
Accessibility
With all project handoffs, we include a general accessibility spec for developers to reference during implementation. While adhering to our design system assures a basic level of WCAG compliance, QA during the front-end implementation is crucial. Our A11Y specialists like to remind us that 'accessible bricks can still make an inaccessible house'.
